Director of Technology

Reporting to the CEO you will lead a team of engineers and support staff and will be responsible for the development, implementation, operation, monitoring and evaluation of WEICan’s technology program. Key responsibilities include managing aspects of a 9-10 megawatt (MW) wind R&D Park and Storage System, supervising ongoing research activities, overseeing testing and certification activities, coordinating delivery of technical consultation and advisory services, and furthering WEICan’s role in academic research both nationally and internationally.   

As the ideal candidate you have post-secondary education in Engineering, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering.  A Masters degree of PhD would be considered an asset.  Superior technical knowledge and experience in an energy-related field including at least five years managing teams are essential for this role.
